Our 175th Anniversary Celebration!

Essex Fire Engine Co. #1 is the second oldest continually operated fire department in the state of Connecticut.  We were incorporated on June 22, 1833 and will be celebrating our anniversary on Sunday June 22, 2008 with a parade starting in the center of Ivoryton and ending at 11 Saybrook Rd., Essex Fire Headquarters. Plan to join us!
